VIVACISSIMO festival - an Artist Residency
VIVACISSIMO is a chamber music festival founded in 2023 by pianist Paolo Tirro, with the generous partnership of Direzione Regionale Musei Molise, Municipality of Gambatesa and Mozarteum University Salzburg. Guest artists are invited to spend a week of music and art in the splendid setting of the Di Capua Castle in Gambatesa, Molise (Italy), surrounded by beauty and nature.
This motto is intended to emphasize the two loves that gave birth to the festival: love for Chamber Music and the beautiful region of Molise (Italy).
The aim is to positively revive the image of the village through the enhancement of the local heritage: village is no longer a place of abandonment and depopulation but a center of interest and involvement for citizens and visitors, capable of proposing structured events that contribute to local cultural growth, with consequent social implications. Vivacissimo also wants to export the many beauties that the region Molise has to offer through the influx of young guest artists who are already on the international music scene. An artistic residency aimed at fostering a bilateral exchange: the treasures of the
territory to the artists; the treasure of their music to the territory.
Our concerts are not just performances, but experiences that get audiences and artists closer.
Indeed, the musicians interact with the audience and guide them in listening to the pieces, which are specially chosen to form a unique musical path.
Moreover, during the week, workshops are held to allow the participants to explore other artistic languages by offering a wider and more eclectic cultural experience
